Sick of sitting on your couch watching Con Air and thinking, “I could make a better movie than that! Then get off your ass, buy a plane ticket, and head out to Hollywood and prove it. Actually, with the availability of today’s prosumer video equipment, a highly motivated and creative individual could do it in their hometown — but, if you’re like me, you’re not that motivated, have no specific talent, and like the idea of working under people who are unaware that indentured servitude is illegal, then maybe it’s time to start looking for a Hollywood internship.

As someone who’s been through it, and has persevered to become an assistant (this is not a good thing), I’ve come up with a few pointers on how to get that internship — because in this town you have to work hard to work for free.

FriendSpaceBook.com is a social networking site that not only allows users to create their own profiles, but encourages users to create “parody profiles.” The parody profiles are not meant to be of the weird, smelly girl that lived down the hall from you in your dorm in college; these profiles are mostly celebrities. Some of my favorites: Sanjaya, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, and, of course, Tom. Brad Pitt is always finding new ways to be the coolest. He was bored the other day, so he’s all, “Well, what should I do today? Hm… I could probably put on a sweet leather jacket and ride a motorcycle around LA.” So, that’s just what he did. Shortly after this photo was taken, he removed his shirt and continued to ride.
